Job Summary:

Duties:
- Lead daily classroom activities, ensuring a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment for children of various ages, including toddlers and preschoolers.
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula that incorporate literacy education, math concepts, physical education, and Montessori methods to support holistic development.
- Manage classroom behavior through positive behavior management strategies, promoting respect, cooperation, and independence among children.
- Collaborate with families to communicate progress, address concerns, and create personalized learning plans that support early intervention and special education needs.
- Oversee lesson planning and adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students, including those requiring additional support in childhood development or special education.
- Maintain accurate records of child welfare, attendance, assessments, and standardized testing results to monitor progress and inform instructional strategies.
- Supervise assistant teachers and volunteers to ensure effective classroom management and delivery of quality childcare services.
Requirements:
- Proven experience working with children in a daycare or preschool setting with classroom management expertise.
- Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles, including curriculum development, literacy education, and Montessori techniques.
- Familiarity with special education practices, early intervention strategies, and behavior management techniques.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, families, and team members.
- Ability to plan engaging lessons that incorporate math, physical education, and developmental activities suitable for toddlers and preschoolers.
- Certification or coursework in childhood development or early childhood education preferred; relevant certifications are a plus.
