About the Job
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Lead Daycare Teacher to join our nurturing early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, engaging, and educational environment for children of various ages, including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. This role requires strong classroom management skills, a passion for child development, and the ability to lead and mentor other staff members. The Lead Daycare Teacher will play a vital role in fostering social, emotional, and cognitive growth in young learners while ensuring compliance with all safety and licensing standards.

Duties:
  • Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards.
  • Supervise and engage children during activities, playtime, meals, and rest periods.
  • Monitor children's behavior and apply effective behavior management techniques.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming classroom environment.
  • Collaborate with parents to discuss children's progress and address any concerns.
  • Lead and mentor assistant teachers and support staff to ensure high-quality care.
  • Ensure compliance with licensing regulations and health & safety protocols.
  • Administer first aid when necessary and maintain accurate records of incidents or concerns.
  • Incorporate special education strategies when working with children with disabilities or developmental delays.
  • Support children's social-emotional development through positive guidance and nurturing interactions.

Qualifications:
  • Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or similar settings; classroom experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of childhood development principles across infant, toddler, and preschool stages.
  • Certifications in first aid and CPR required; additional certifications in special education or behavior management are a plus.
  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is desirable.
  • Strong classroom management skills with the ability to lead a team effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills for collaborating with parents and team members.
  • Passion for early childhood education and creating a supportive learning environment.
  • Ability to handle caregiving responsibilities with patience, empathy, and professionalism.
