Responsibilities: 
  • Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula that promote literacy education, math skills, physical activity, and social-emotional development.
  • Lead daily classroom activities with enthusiasm, ensuring a dynamic learning environment for toddlers and preschoolers.
  • Manage classroom behavior using positive behavior management strategies to foster respect and cooperation among children.
  • Collaborate with team members to design lesson plans that incorporate Montessori methods, special education strategies, and early intervention techniques.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about children's progress, milestones, and any concerns related to child welfare or development.
  • Oversee classroom management duties including maintaining safety standards, organizing materials, and ensuring compliance with childcare regulations.
  • Support the professional growth of assistant teachers through mentorship in classroom management, lesson planning, and early childhood education best practices.

Requirements: 
  • DCF 45 hours, CDA, Early Childhood Education 
  • Proven experience working with children in a daycare or preschool setting; prior classroom experience is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, curriculum development, and behavior management techniques.
  • Familiarity with special education needs, early intervention programs, and literacy education strategies.
  • Certification in early childhood education or related fields; Montessori certification is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with children, parents, and team members.
  • Ability to lead classroom activities confidently while maintaining a nurturing environment for diverse learners.
